How to lower your windsock mast varies according to the type of mast and where it is mounted. If you have a ground-mounted mast these are usually hinged at the base, or can be pivoted to ground level and wall or roof mounted windsock masts are usually designed to lower. If this is not the case or your mast is situated in a hazardous location, then a mobile access platform or scaffold may be required to gain access to change the windsock. .
